The member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Samaila Suleiman has forwarded reasons why the National Youth Development (Establishment) Bill being sponsored by him at the lower chambers needs to scale through.
He expressed this in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Kaduna.
“At the beginning of the 8th Assembly, I presented the National Youth Development Commission (Establishment) Bill on the floor of the House of Representatives under the leadership of our able Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
“The National Youth Development Commission (HB 122) Bill is a valuable strategic legislation, structured around a positive youth development framework that focuses on providing opportunities for young people in Nigeria to enhance their interests, skills, and abilities,” he said.
The statement further said that the Bill is committed to ensuring that all young people in Nigeria’s communities achieve the “promise” of a healthy and happy life.
” Few steps nearer to the completion of this important legislation of mine, join me to support the passage of this bill as the House Committee on Youth Development has slated Wednesday, 25th October 2017, to conduct a Public Hearing for the consideration of the Bill.
“The feat we have achieved so far in this Bill is not only ours in Kaduna North Federal Constituency but for the nation at large,” he said.
