Primary school pupils in Giwa Local Government of Kaduna State have blocked the federal road causing traffic congestion as no route from Zaria to Funtua in Katsina State as well as Sokoto axis for over five hours.
The protesting pupils were chanting slogan ‘we want our teachers back to our schools.’
The pupils who condemned the so called examinations conducted by the state government, challenged the Governor to bring out the marking scripts he claimed that their teachers failed to score 75% and in any examination body the pass mark is 40% according to the pupils.
How these pupils blocked the is from Giwa main town to Zabawa near General Hospital Giwa and they promised to continue until government change its decision of sacking their teachers.
Efforts by the Divisional Police Officer in Giwa Local Government has helped the situation along with Good Samaritans who pleaded with the pupils who sat down on the main road to allow the motorists to pass.
In Sabon Gari Local Government, pupils too came out in large numbers protesting against Governor El-Rufai over sacking their teachers calling him to resign and allow their teacher to rule the state.
They matched from Kubanni brige en route to PZ to Sokoto Road chanting slogans “Mai Rusau must go”as well as destroying his posters.
Also some pupils in Zaria Local Government protested from Kubanni bridge to Kofar Doka calling on the governor to change his wicked decision or else he should resign as governor of Kaduna State.
But the situation in Soba Local Government and some parts of Igabi Local Government, the pupils stay away from the schools leaving only the successful teachers in the school premises.
What interested in this protest, is that all the pupils were in school uniforms and they conducted themselves peacefully up to the end of their protest which lasted for about five hours.
