House of Assembly Hopeful for Warri South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly,Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru today called on the President General of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom,Chief Emmanuel Okumagba to leave the contest for the seat between him and other aspirants open.
Opuoru who is a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa also alleged that his political rivals have threatened to disgrace and make jim miserable.
Opuoru also claimed that his rival have vowed to fall his hand.
Opuoru made the call when he and his supporters paid Chief Emmanuel Okumagba a consultation visit in Warri.
“Chief, pls leave us all to go to the field, who ever wins, will come back to report to you. We are all your children.”
Opuoru noted that the more his rivals made the threats ,”The more they say that, the more blessings I get from God makes my hand stronger and go higher.”
Opuoru stated that he recently approached the Delta State Governor,Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa who graciously two brand new 500 and 300 KVA transformers to the provision of improved electricity for the people.
In a remark,the Awhotu of Okere-Urhobo Kingdom, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba has advise House of Assembly for Warri South Constituency II,Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru to distant himself from the politics of hatred stressing that it is only God that gives Power.
Okumagba also enjoined Opuoru to always respect the will of God saying,”it’s wrong for anyone to stand against an anointed one who has been destined to lead the People.What God has designed for you will surely be yours and if anyone here is against you but pretending to be with you, Almighty God will surely knock him down.”
Okumagba tasked Opuoru to attract development to the People of Warri South Constituency II should he be voted into Office.
Okumagba also prayed for Hon. Opuoru thus,”May God Almighty Grant it to you as you desires”.
“I tell you boldly more good things are yet to come and all these glory will go to you.”
