Reports reaching AUTHENTIC News Daily has it that the driver to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Uvwie Local Government Area in Delta State, ,Tejiri Prince Uvwo alias Gbogbo on Friday died in a ghastly motor accident along the Asaba Expressway in Delta State.
It was learnt that Tejiri who drove on the official Nissan Central car of his boss was on a high speed coming from Asaba when he had brake failure.
In his bid to maneuver his way out,he lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road as he rammed into a trailer parked at the corner.
The incident shattered the vehicle and Tejiri sustained serious injuries which resulted to his instant death.
The Uvwie PDP Chairman, Hon. Kelly Utuedor confirmed the report in a chat with our Warri, Delta State Correspondent.
“Utuedor said,”Yes he had accident. He was coming from Asaba alone. I am not too happy when you’re giving me this interview right now. Please don’t call my number again to give me this kind interview” as he banged the phone.
Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka said,”The Command is not aware of any accident. Nothing of such has been reported to us but we’ll find out and get back to you.”
AUTHENTIC News Daily reports that the incident has thrown staff of the Uvwie Council into mourning.
Tejiri’s elder brother Ochuko is still on the run for allegedly stabbing his wife lover to death in Warri in 2015.
Tejiri attended Aileru Primary School, College of Commerce Warri and the School of Health Technology, Ofuoma in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
Tejiri is survived by a wife, two children, his immediate sister, Philomena and family relatives.
