The National Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus boasted that his party will wrestle power from the APC in 2019, saying the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC have collapsed and has no leadership.
This was also as he accused the party of bringing crises, division, hunger and poverty to the country.
The National Chairman said his party will reverse the trend and bring unity, love and provide food on the table of Nigerians.
According to him, “APC came with crises, division and hunger.
“APC have collapsed, has no leadership.
“PDP will win in 2019. We will defeat APC in Katsina. Katsina is the homestate of PDP,” Secondus boasted.
However, responding on behalf of other decampees, Senator Yakubu Lado assured the National Chairman of the party to sleep with his two eyes closed as it will reclaim the state from the APC in 2019.
Lado described the day as a significant day in its lifetime and ready to reclaim the mandate in 2019.
Staunch PDP members in attendance include former Governors, Sule Lamido (Jigawa State), Dr. Babangida Aliyu (Niger State), Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Kaduna State), Ahmed Makarfi (Kaduna State), Ibrahim Shekarau (Kano State) and Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto State).
Current PDP Governors in attendance include, Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti State), Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom) and Hassan Dankwambo (Gombe State).
Others include Walid Jibrin (BOT Chairman), Sen. Umar Ibrahim Tsauri (National Secretary), Amb Ibrahim Kazaure (Northwest Zonal Chairman), Ambassador Aminu Wali, former Minister, Buhari Bala, Kabir Tanimu Turaki, Felix Ayat to mention but a few.
Personalities who defected from APC, PDM and APGA to the party (PDP) included former PDM Gubernatorial candidate in 2015, Senator Yakubu Lado, former APGA gubernatorial candidate in 2015, Umar Abdullahi Tata, former APC Treasurer in Katsina State, Nasiru Kankia, former Speaker, Kabir Kurfa and former Coordinator on Youth Vanguard for Aminu Bello Masari movement in 2015, Mustapha Radda to mention but a few.
