The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State Council has expressed shock, but total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (Swt) over the death of one of its veterans and elder, Malam Tukur Abdulrahman, the Managing Director of New Nigerian Newspapers who died in the late hours of Thursday, 17 May 2018.
This was expressed in a statement signed by its Secretary, Dauda Idris Doka, made available on Saturday.
” Late Tukur Abdulrahman was a complete Journalist who rose through the ranks. He will continue to be remembered for his sincerity, humility and above all the fear of God.
“His contributions to the development of the journalism profession nationwide as well as the unity, peaceful coexistence of our dear country cannot be overemphasized,” it stated.
The Council therefore, used the medium to condole late Tukur Abdurrahman’s family, Daura Emirate Council and the Government and good people of Katsina state over the death of the late Managing Director.
“May Allah (Swt) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljanna Firdausi. May his family and the entire members of our noble profession be availed the fortitude to bear the loss,” it stated.
