A leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade MacSon Amakiri and one thousand other members of the party dumped the APC as they joined an Aspirant, Comrade Sheriff Mulade who is ruining for the Warri South-West Constituency Seat.
Speaking at the Consultation visit of Comrade Sheriff Mulade Campaign Team to Ogbe-Ijoh women in Warri,Comrade Amakiri noted that he and members of the party did not decamp from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP which has deceived them in the past years.
He said they decamped because of the faith they have in Comrade Sheriff Mulade who as ordinary Chairman of Kokodiagbene Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom was able to empower the youths, put infrastructures in place as well as his human capital development for the people of the area.
Comrade Amakiri appealed to the Delta State Governor,Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and.his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro to conduct a free, fair and credible elections so that the choice candidates of the people would emerge and assumed positions of authority.
In a swift reaction, Comrade Sheriff Mulade and the Councillor Isaba Ward 2, in Warri South-West, Hon. Moses Odubu received the decampees into the PDP fold.
Comrade Mulade who is a Coordinator of the Centre of Peace and Environmental Justice,CEPEJ ssid, “On behalf of the PDP family led by Chief Secondus and the State Chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso and the LGA Chairman, Johnbull Edema, I welcome you back to PDP.
” Today, you have finally return to your hone. The PDP umbrella is big enough to accommodate everybody. Therefore, your coming is a welcomed one.
“I want to assure you on behalf of the party and the Governor of Delta State that your expectations will not be cut off. The governor have promise free, fair and credible primary and general elections. Therefore, your expectations will not be cut off.”
Comrade Mulade also promised to reconstruct the Ogbe-Ijoh market for the Ogbe-Ijoh Market women in addition to empowering and encouraging their petty businesses.
