Ahead of the 2019 general elections, former Governors of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori on Saturdayappealed to political aspirants in the State to be law abiding and peaceful as they about their campaigns.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at a merger rally organized by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Delta South, Chief Ibori insisted that the aspirants must carry out their campaigns within the confines of the law.
Chief Ibori also enjoined the aspirants and their supporters to vote massively for Governor Okowa in the forthcoming elections.
Chief Ibori and the immediate past governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan also ratified the endorsement of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. a k a [EKWUEME OF AFRICA] by the people of Delta South Senatorial District.
Chief Ibori congratulated Governor Okowa for the achievements recorded by his administration in the last three years it has been in office.
“On behalf of my family and the people of Delta State, I join the PDP Delta South District to formally say congratulations to our governor. For what I can see here, the people of Delta South are ready to lead you back to Government House in 2019.
On his part, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan vowed that the people of Delta South will work very hard for the reemergence of Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa saying,” Delta South votes is for you. On behalf of the people of Delta South, be rest assured of our support.”
Earlier, former Ministers of Police Affairs, Alaowei Broderick Bozimo said Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has made the people of Delta South proud.”The performance has been unequaled.
While thanking the people of Delta South, Bozimo who spoke on behalf of the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality endorsed Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro just as he urged the people of the area to obtain their PVC’s and ensure they do the needful comes 2019 elections.
Bozimo said,”We can’t truncate the 8year pattern that has been established in our State in this 2019.
Former Minister of Defense, Chief Rolland Oritsejafor who spoke on behalf of the Itsekiri Nation christened Governor Okowa as a builder of peace and prosperity of the people saying,”We are going to vote for him again.”
President General of Okumagba, Chief Emmanuel Okumagba who spoke on behalf of the Warri Urhobos in Oleh, expressed delight with the performances of the governor.
Chief Okumagba argued that since Chief James Onanaefen Ibori from Delta Central and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan from Delta South enjoyed eight years each, Governor Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa deserves another four years in office.
According to him,”What is good for the goose, should be good for the gander.”
Chief Solomon Ogba who spoke on behalf of the Isoko Nation said,”Isoko will be a No Go Area for any other political parties” stressing that Isoko has always delivered the highest votes to any governor.
PDP Delta South Chairman, Chief Emma Ambadugba said Governor has turned the entire state to construction site even with the difficult terrains of Sokebulou to Ogulagha to Yokri and even Burutu.
“He has revamped educational infrastructures in our public schools especially our technical schools. As at date virtually all courses in our higher institutions are now accredited and can now compete with their peers in other States. Even when some states are sacking workers our dear governor has continued to pay workers regularly” amongst others.
The member representing the people of Delta South Senatorial District, Sen. James Manager aligned himself with the endorsement of Governor Okowa saying,”2019 is just a walk over.”
