Kaduna based journalists have been challenged to develop an interest in investigative journalism, in their quest to promote good governance.
The advice was given on Wednesday at the  Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL) Engaged Citizens One Day Media Dialogue with Citizens on 2019 General Elections and Local Government Autonomy held in Kaduna on August 29, 2018.
The advice was part of the action plan read out at the meeting which attracted several Kaduna State based media practitioners and executives.
They were also advised to develop interest in understanding budgeting processes by the media.
Similarly, participants were urged to build capacity  on expertise of other colleagues in the profession.
“Develop contents on political, social and economic issues consistently making this an issue of debate. Develop a platform for knowledge sharing.
” Learn effective and efficient use of social media, create synergy with government and non government actors,” they were charged.
Participants were also urged to embrace the effective utilisation of existing platforms as well as sensitise citizens through their various media platform on budgeting, need for LGA autonomy and other issues that would improve good go
