Ember Months: Nigerian Legion Controls Traffic In Delta, Advises Drivers To Be Patient

The Nigerian Legion, Delta State Command on Friday controlled traffic at Refinery Junction in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area with an advice to road users to exercise patience when driving especially in this “Ember months” for their own safety.
In a chat with newsmen, the Delta State Assistant Sector Commander, Ogbu Ekpo Sunday said the control of traffic is a Nationwide Exercise.
Sunday said the Nigerian Legion embarked on the control of traffic to render humanitarian service to the Society.
Sunday said the exercise is to kick off the forthcoming Armed Forces Remembrance Day slated for November 16.
While noting that there has been no challenge on the road, Sunday said,”No driver has insulted or assaulted us” stressing that there is cooperation  on the road.
Sunday who was flanked by Officers and men of the Legion said,”Today is Effurun market and we know that every Effurun market, we always have traffic jam at this junction.”
Sunday also called on sister security agencies to be involved in serving humanity apart from just defending the territory of the Nation.
