Presently in Kaduna, there is no presence of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but only the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) is looked upon by the masses to rescue them from bondage in 2019.
PRP Gubernatorial candidate in Kaduna State, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani expressed thus while fielding questions from newsmen on Thursday evening, during a formal reception of decampees from the APC to PRP, held at the party’s Kaduna State secretariat, when asked which party’s candidate he thinks would give him a run for his money at the polls.
Tijjano was optimistic that with the yearnings to put in place a people oriented government in the state in 2019, incumbent governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai would be sent lacking out of Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in 2019.
“There is no PDP or APC in Kaduna State right now. All we have is PRP and the masses are yearning to see our party come to liberate them in 2019,” he said.
He assured that when they take over governance in the state, there would be no favouritism, as all would be accorded equal treatment.
“We don’t know who is Christian or Muslim or indigene or settler. Our adminiustice and fairness would be accorded to all irrespective of ethnicity, religion or affiliation,” he stressed.
Speaking further, he assured party faithful that the defectors being received into the party are just few, but more are expected.
“This is just the beginning. We are expecting more defectors to our people oriented and friendly party, including some from PDP,” he said.
