Kaduna Has Best Boxing Facility In Nigeria – North-West  Zonal Rep

As a result of commitment and efforts of the Kaduna State  Boxing Association, the state presently boasts of the best indoor boxing gymnasium in Nigeria, the newly elected North-West Zonal Representative on the Nigeria Boxing Federation Board, Femi Olanrewaju Ayandibu has disclosed.

He made this known while fielding questions from newsmen at the Friendship Badminton Club, Kaduna, where he was as guest to a Ramadan Breaking of Fast (Iftar) organized in honour of  the newly elected North-West Zonal Representative on the board of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, Mohammed Maina on Saturday night.

Ayandibu said that such feat and others would be consolidated upon as he gets set to take the zone to greater heights in boxing excellence.

“After Ramadan, we will swing to full action towards bringing back the glorious days of boxing to the region,” he assured

The Zonal Representative said that part of the strategy he is working on is to dialogue with key stakeholders in the zone, towards taking the sport back to the grassroots.

“We are going back to the grassroots to move the game forward. I am not happy with the way boxing is in the North-West presently, so  I  will be meeting with stakeholders from the zone,” he said.

According to him he would be working with state association chairmen and  Director of Sports (DoS)  from all the seven states that comprise of the North-West geo-political zone.
