Ahead of the 2019 general election, the member representing the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege on Saturday August 12 told Ugborikoko market women that his empowerment programme is free just as he cautioned them against giving five hundred Naira to anyone in the name of his ongoing empowerment, AUTHENTIC News Daily reports.
The lawmaker who stated that he does not need the money of the market
women noted that he did not send anyone to collect any money from the
market women stressing that all he wants is their votes.
Sen. Omo-Agege cautioned that the market women against agreeing to
paying anybody money saying, “If anybody tell Una to bring
money for my empowerment make Una nor gree oooo. My empowerment na for free. Na me, go give una money, I nor need una money.
All I need from una, na vote, I nor want money from una oooooo
Na me nai go give una money.”
Sen. Omo-Agege called on the Ugborikoko market women to ensure they
contributed register and collect their voters card in the ongoing
registration exercise as well as vote for him and the All Progressives
Congress,APC in the 2019 elections in the State.
Sen. Omo-Agege who spoke in pidgin English said,” Na una voters card
una go take vote for me. For those wey never get voters card or for
those lost their voters card.,make una go register.”
Sen. Omo-Agege stated that the APC opponent in the state doesn’t
campaign but concentrated in hiding the states resources which they
intend to use to induce the people in the forthcoming election.
“Make Una go register. Na the voters card be the power wey una get.
without your card, you can’t do anything.”
“If them give una, I nor say make una nor take oo. Make una take but
una go vote una conscience. So, e good make all of una go register.
Make una go una various ward, make una vote for APC oooo.”
Sen. Omo-Agege promised to provide the Ugborikoko market women with
toilet faculties and potable water in fulfillment of his campaign promises.
While noting that the water will be “solar powered” Sen. Omo-Agege appealed to the leadership of the market to provide land for the siting of the projects pointing out that in two weeks time, the contractors handling the projects will be on ground to commence work.
“I made a promise to them when I was campaigning.They wanted water and
they wanted toilet. The water and the toilet, I have also kept that promise. Any moment from now, you are going to some contractors, they will come here and they are going to ask you to provide the land where you will put the water
and it’s going to be solar powered.”
Sen. Omo-Agege thanked God Almighty, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM.
