Women Volleyball World Cup: 14 Players Selected To Represent Nigeria Depart For Cote D’ivoire Thursday

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has disclosed that the country’s women volleyball team is expected to depart on Thursday, the 17th of August, 2017 for Abidjan, Cote D’ivoire to participate at the Women World Cup Tournament.

After a two week training in camp at Abuja,14 female players made the final list.

According to a statement jointly signed by the Secretary of the Federation, Mr Adamu Maikano,  and the Chairman Media & Publicity Committee, Kehinde Lamidi, the final list approved by the chairman of technical committee include: Ladi Jalmat, Theresa  Okonma, Helen  Umeh, Aisha. Umar, Chinasa Nwosu, Esther  Dusu, Albertina   Francis and Kelechi. Iwobi.

Others are Agera Priscilla, Comfort Amdu, Francisca Ikhiede, Chimdia  I’ve, Mary John and Chinedu  Nnachi.

The coaches that would accompany the team are Usman H. Abdallah as Head Coach and Gloria Peter Ret.

Others expected to make the entourage are the NVBF scribe, Adamu Maikano, the chairman of the technical, Martin Melandi & an accompanying referee, Olalekan Moses.

The tournament is expected to hold between August 18th and  22nd  in Abidjan.
