Business Activities Paralyzed In Delta Community Following Shooting Of Anti-cult Commander

Business activities have been paralyzed as suspected cult members in
Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State have shot dead
an Anti-Cult Volunteer Commander, Mr. Akudo Kennachor at a drinking
joint in the Area.

AUTHENTIC News Daily gathered that reports following the development, shops have been shut down by their owners for fear of not being arrested by the police who have embarked on raiding the hideouts of suspected cult members.

An eyewitness who craved anonymity stated that the deceased was
trailed to the joint where he was shot at a close range.

The Divisional Police Officer in Obiaruku did not answer phone calls
put across to his mobile phone.

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer (DSP)
Andrew Aniamaka promised to get back when he has enough facts on the
matter.

Only recently, some suspected cult members were arrested for illegal
gathering and involving in cult related activities.

Following the dastard incident, the State Anti-Cult Volunteer Corps met with the leaders of the community, youths and Vigilante groups to ensure peace and reduce cultism to the barest minimum in the area.
