The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the famous Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultants  Limited, Alhaji Aminu Bizi, has challenged youth in the country to embrace small scale businesses to make themselves self reliance instead of depending on white collar jobs from the government, as his agency empowers 2,500 youth.
Alhaji Aminu threw in the challenge in a paper he presented titled: “Marketing Agency Banking As A Way Of Empowering Nigerians” at the Department of Marketing, Kano State Polytechnic, Kano.
The chairman disclosed that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has introduced a new cashless policy to ease transactions among Nigerians.
According to him, “one of the aims and objectives of the the cashless policy, is to create jobs opportunities especially among the teeming youth  of this country, by becoming banking agents in their various communities, adding that this would ease a burden on people especially those living in rural areas of wasting their time and energy queuing at banks before the withdrawal of their money.
Alhaji Aminu recalled that the policy was established in 2012, but decried that many Northerners have been lagging behind in joining the policy, stressing  some Northerners hardly embrace new policies, unlike their counterparts in other parts of the country.
Citing example with himself, Alhaji Aminu said, “I have never worked in a bank in my life, but now I have people that have taken banking job as their career, including those that obtained first and second degrees, about 33 of them, are currently working under me.”
The Chairman noted that, “all this happened due to my commitment and sacrifice to ensure that I make myself self reliant, instead of waiting for government jobs”
According to him, “Being an orphan and I know how orphans suffer, Bizi Mobile has so far trained and empowered about 1,600 youth orphans both male and female as bank agents that will generate revenue for Kano State Government.”
“I am happy to inform you that these agents now earn N70,000 to N100,000 as salary per month.” Alhaji Aminu said.
Alhaji Aminu disclosed that, “Discussions between Bizi Mobile and Kano State Polytechnic management, has reached advanced stage towards introducing a new programme that will give the students an opportunity to start working in agency  banking while they are still pursuing their studies.
“The aim is to make the students self reliant and to discourage them from over dependence on government jobs,” he pointed out.
Alhaji Aminu then enjoined the students to always be law abiding and to shun drug abuse  and cultism, considering the fact that they are future leaders of this country.
Also in his remarks,  the Registrar of the Institute, Dr  Saddik D Garba, commended the management of  Bizi Mobile for the gesture, which he said would go a long way in making the students self reliant.
Others that also presented papers at the occasion are,  Dr Lukman Suraj, Dr Muhammad Abubakar Hotoro, Dr Ali Adamu Naniya.
