A serious warning has been issued to desperate politicians who are afraid of a free and fair re-run in the Benue South Senatorial elections and are bent on using other untoward means in ensuring victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, by arresting PDP candidate, Senator David Mark before the polls, slated for February 13.
Secretary General of the Apa Idoma Progressives, Comrade Ajefu voiced this out while speaking in Otukpo.
According to him, the Idoma nation will resist any bid by desperate politicians to shortchange them.
Ajefu said that it was gathered that those planning the ‘coup’ intend to finally unseat David Mark through intimidation by using government machinery, a vicious plan, which has been uncovered.
Speaking further, the comrade stated that such an attempt will incur the wrath of the Idoma’s in totality and that heads will roll should anything happen to David Mark before, during and after the re-run.
The comrade wondered why politicians have become so desperate and power thirsty to the extent of arresting Senator Mark just to make him lose at the re-run.
