Headquarters 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Ohafia Abia State has informed that it will be hosting a five-day Indoor Telephone Battle Exercise from 27 to 31 August 2017.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Assistant Director
Army Public Relations, 14 Brigade, Major GBADAMOSI OYEGOKE.
“This exercise is aim at testing the ability of the participants in communication security/communication skills, to enable the participants react in a timely manner to Internal Security situations and to allow the participants achieve inter-agency synergy among others.
“The exercise will have participants from the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, Nigeria Prisons Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps among others,” it said.
The statement explained that the exercise setting is a fictitious Republic of UNZUGWU where there is a preponderance of anti social activities such as pipeline vandalism, bunkering, kidnapping, armed banditry and other subversive activities.
“The Nigerian Army will use the Exercise to test out its contingency plans, training and procedures aimed at checking these challenges,” it concluded.
