Success Joe was immediately transferred to Umuahia.
Before his arrest in Lokoja, he had rented a room apartment in a nearby village as well as promised two women marriage there and targeting to run away with three children.
The Police first traced him to the residence of one of his
accomplice,Alago Euphiema,a Staff of Okigwe Local Government Council at Okigwe.

The Police secured a court order to place a red alert on his account.
Thereafter, two hundred and fifty thousand Naira deposit was made into the account.
Also involved in the illicit business is a Staff of the Nigeria Prison
Service, Oluchi Onwughara and Mrs. Ucheoma Asiegbu is the Welfare Officer attached to Aba South Local Government Area in Abia State.
She prepares documents for the trio above under the pretence of
adopting the children they stole legally.

sponsored his men to Enugu State in search of the three other abducted children.
AIG Fyarah also vowed that the suspects involved in the criminal and dastardly acts will be prosecuted in accordance with stipulated laws just as he said the recovered child also be taken to court.
It was gathered that Success Joe scouts for a syndicate group in Umuahia.
Before coming to Agbarho, Success Joe travels round the country, rents a one room apartment in those compounds where they share common bathrooms and toilets.
His targets are poor illiterate widows and divorces that have a
minimum of five children.
He spends money on the women and children with a promise to marry the women.
He follows them to see their families and ask them to follow him to
see his mother at Umuahia with the insistence that they carry one or two of their children.
He will cleverly dispose them of the children and sell to his madam, Alago Euphiema.
The madam arranges with Welfare Officers and sells the children to
those that want to adopt.
These were exactly what he allegedly did to the mothers of the four
children he kidnapped to Umuahia where he sold them.
