A lot has been achieved by Health4All Media Initiative (HAMI) in 2018, barely a year after it was founded, Chairperson, Jacqueline Adebija has said.
She thanked all members of the forum for abiding by the rules of the forum, a development she said has helped the group to remain focused.
“I think we have done a great job, for a group that started in the second quarter, to have made a lot of impact, I think we have done well.
“I am hoping that for 2019 we will take a look at the health days and to start planning to mark the days.
“I think we should think about what we can do and sustain as a group without relying on any other group or individual. We should think of what we can do as a group without necessarily needing too much support,” she said.
Mr. Iliya Kure of FHANI suggested that a lot of organisations have fizzled out as a result of planning.
He charged HAMI to come up with a strategic plan that would guide its programmes and activities.
He explained that partners can only come in when they see commitment from the group.
The group during deliberations, noted that looking for avenues to funding its activities was very important and several suggestions were put forward and would be explored.
