The Bauchi State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engineer Mohammed Barde has said that his party’s government is what the state deserves.
Engineer Barde expressed this on Monday night, when his party’s gubernatorial candidate for the 2019 general elections, Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu led other candidates of the party vying for various elective positions on a campaign tour of Bappa in Darazo Local Government Area of the state.
He said that though the party was introduced to the state just over three years ago, the people are at home with it because of its people oriented manifesto.
He described the present administration in the state as unfavourable to all its citizens.
“We voted APC because of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 but are disappointed that at the state level, we have not seen the dividends if democracy. So many retired are not getting their entitlements in terms of pensions or gratuity,” he added.
He said that farmers are not getting fertilizers in the state as at when due, but assured that if their party takes over, it would be a thing of the past.
“We have to take back the governance of the state by a peoples friendly government. Thank God we are blessed with a credible candidate that would deliver genuine dividends of democracy to the people.
“We are here to first of all visit and see for ourselves the basic things you would be requiring. We are also here to solicit for your votes because without your support, we would not be there to deliver the dividends we are promising.
“We have visited so many other places that are characterized by similar challenges you are facing, but we are pleased to be here in this community that is blessed with hard working people that are mostly farmers,” he said.
Speaking further, he said that their party is not a promise and fail party that would sit n Bauchi and during elections, send detergent and salt just to earn their votes and disappear for the next four years, but one which will indulge in open governance policy, providing things each community needs the most.
“They have not come to see for themselves that you don’t have roads. They have not come to see that you lack basic infrastructure. We are offering you a candidate that is free of any indictment. He was a special adviser, a senior special adviser, a commissioner and SSG, yet there is no case of misappropriation against him. He was also an Ambassador to Qatar,” he informed.
Ever since the state was created, the state has never had a more credible candidate. I present to you Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu, who will by God’s grace days from now, will be elected Executive Governor of Bauchi State.
District Head of Bappa, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Suleiman Abdullahi said that by God’s grace, Ambassador ambition will be realized. He said they lack roads, electricity and farm inputs like fertilizers and pesticides.
He said in the community, they are straight forward and match words with action.
“We have a health centre under construction and appeal that when you emerge, you will help us complete it.
He appealed that they have several graduates from the community that are yet to secure employment. He said they have five maternity clinics but are in need of more, suggesting they would be grateful to get four more.
He therefore, prayed that God should grant the guber candidate and other candidates from his party in his entourage success, adding that he wishes them safe journey back to their destination and success in campaign to other areas they intend to visit.
