Assurance has been given that the second edition of the Pinnacle Communications/Kadinvest Golf Tournament will be coming up soon.

Chairman of Pinnacle Communication, Sir Lucky Omoluwa disclosed this, when fielding questions from newsmen during the tee-off of the Daily Trust President Cup at the Kaduna Golf Club (KGC) on Saturday March 30, 2019.

“Kadinvest would hold. We were thinking Kadinvest Golf Tournament would hold but the inconclusive elections and the political calendar interrupted it. But I  assure you that Kadinvest and Pinnacle Tournament  will hold.

“I want to assure you that the tournament will go on once the Kaduna Golf Club gives us date,” he assured.

He explained that the Kadinvest Tournament was conceived to support the bid of Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai in attracting investors to the state.

Speaking further, he said that there is more need to create awareness on the benefits of golf.

“We need to sensitize people that golf is a game which once you take upon, you stay away from your doctor, the last nine American presidents were golf players. Once they get on the course they are refreshed,” he added.

He expressed delight that the game of golf is growing.

“I was a professional golfer, I sponsor golf tournaments, let’s get more people like Daily Trust sponsor tournaments and the game would grow further,” he added.

On the Daily Trust President Tournament, he said that he was optimistic that great prizes would be presented to the winners.

Also speaking, chairman of SPDC, a property development company, Idris Othman who represented the Kaduna State Governor during the tee-off in his capacity as a friend, praised Sir Lucky Omoluwa for his contributions to the development of golf.

“The competition is great and Sir Lucky Omoluwa is a pillar in this sport and whatever he is doing, must be successful,” he said.
