A former Minister of Education, Chief (Barr.) Kenneth Gbagi has said, ”about three hundred and fifty Nigerians migrate into Delta State daily without paying their taxes.

The former minister made this known to journalists on Tuesday November 12, 2019 during an interactive session in his country home at Oginibo town in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta state.

‘’Gbagi said, ”The Governorship zoning arrangement in the state does not favour ethnicity. But it favours senatorial districts.

”The zoning arrangement is a gentleman agreement. Now, it favours the Delta central again. ”Ex-governor Chief James Ibori governed Delta state from Delta central for eight years. Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan governed Delta State for eight years from Delta south and my friend Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa will complete his eight years tenure.

”Delta state need a tough person as a Governor to deliver, Jesus Christ himself was a tough Person.

”One hundred days of my government, no Deltans will be seen on the street begging.

”Governor Okowa has done it best at it’s disposal as a Governor and he is still doing more. The Governor is paying the money that the former governor of the state borrowed.

”Every  month the governor pays part of the money,  after paying what is left in the state account is nothing compared to what he is doing.

”I have the bullets  to run for the governor of this state and I will run the state as governor without using government vehicle.

”I will turn down my resignation if you don’t see industries, infrastructure and investors coming back to this state. No governor has done mothan Okowa since 1999

”Am Appealing to Deltans to support my vision to govern Delta State l pledged l would embark on massive infrastructures, employment and human capital development to turn the Delta state a tourist center.

He said, ”my dream to turn Delta state a hub of industry had been oppressed and cheated from realizing for twenty years, the right time has come in 2023 for me to actualize my positive vision to transform Delta state.

His words, ‘’ We have made a wide consultation across Delta state and consultation is ongoing with a view to helping my friend, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in building Delta state after his tenure expiration.

”I have the capacity as a technocrat, a business mogul who has contributed widely in human development.

”I have so much for Delta state. I want to turn Delta state to industrial hub. I have the second tallest building in Lagos. I think, if I am given the chance to govern Delta state. I will turn Delta state to a tourist center.’’

”I have consulted all the traditional rulers in Urhobo land and they all supported ny vision.

”The Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) are not politicians and they are the custodian of the culture.

”They know who is good enough to represent the Urhobo nation in 2023 as governor to help the state. I am the one who is so qualified to take Delta state to the next level’’ he said.

”I thank governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his infrastructural development in the state and urged him to continue his good strides to keep moving the state forward before his second tenure expires.

He said, ”that if what Okowa is doing was being done by other governors, Delta state would have moved further than where the state is now.

”I pledged to work with the press and form a good synergy during the campaigns and after when being made as executive governor of Delta state in 2023.

When asked, if his campaign for 2023 is not to early when tribunal had just completed its job of appeal courts, he said’ ‘‘ I am preparing early for the race because I am not a civl servant who is either a commissioner in the government to collect money from government untill few months to election before they come up openly to declare and campaign with money collected from government’’
