Army Has Helped In Keeping Kaduna Peaceful – el-Rufai

Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has hailed the Nigerian Army’s contributions in ensuring that Kaduna State remains peaceful.

He expressed this in his goodwill message at the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2019 in Kaduna on Tuesday.

“Your efforts and respect for fundamental human rights has helped in maintaining peace in Kaduna State.

“We cannot forget role Army played in maintaining peace in Kaduna State.

“I will mention four aspects.

” Setting up of Operation Base in Southern Kaduna, Confronting menace of Elzakzaky, Ending cattle rustling and Medical out reaches and other CSR including building bridges for our people, ” he said.

El-Rufai said that he was highly elated that Kaduna was chosen to host the 2019 conference, bearing in mind, Kaduna’s historic place with the military.

“Government and people of Kaduna State are very grateful to the Nigerian Army.

“We as a people are also happy about the infrastructural development of the Nigerian Army which has benefitted our people,” he said.

Speaking further, he said that the production of the EZUGWU Mine Resistant Army Vehicle in Kaduna has further boosted the state’s place in automobile manufacturing.

“With three automobile plants in Kaduna, we are already creating a cluster of automobile industry in Kaduna.

“DICON is also producing uniforms here, which is creating another cluster for textiles.

“The upgrading of a level 4 hospital in Kaduna is also much appreciated.

“We hope that officers and soldiers will borrow a leaf from Mr. President to make Kaduna their home,” he said.
