Make Kaduna Permanent Host Of Chief Of Army Staff Conference, el-Rufai Appeals

Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai has said that Kaduna people are happy hosting the Chief of Army Staff 2019 Conference, appealing to Army authorities to make Kaduna a permanent host of the annual conference.

El-Rufai, who was the Special Guest of Honour, made the appeal while declaring the Chief of Army Staff Conference closed on Friday December 6 at the Kaduna International Trade Fair Complex.

He said that he thanks President Buhari for visiting. I also thank the COAS for bringing Mr. President here because it gave me the opportunity of taking him to my office. I am the only governor that the president has visited his office.

“I reiterate my request again that this conference should come here again and again.

“I want to on behalf of all residents of Kaduna State congratulate you for a successful conference.

“I hope you enjoyed the hospitality of our people and we enjoyed your presence. We wish the conference will go on and on and you will make it your permanent place for the conference.

“You are all welcome here and I hope you will come back and settle here when you retire. God bless you all and on thus note I declare the conference closed and wish you safe journey back to your respective destinations,” he said.

The governor said that he has no doubt that the aim of the conference has been achieved.

“I am happy that transformation of the Army taking place in spite of daunting challenges.

“We are also happy that the Army has come up with world class innovations.

“I have no doubt that in no distant future, the Nigerian Army will be self sufficient in production of their needs,” he added.

Speaking further, he praised the Army for ensuring Nigerua renains united.

“We have a Nigerian army that has never been more committed at ensuring peace all through the country and keeping the country most united at its trying moments.

“Nigeria will not forget and I can assure you that Kaduna State will not forget your sacrifices,” he declared.
