Gombe United Beat ‘Unlucky’ Hayin Banki United To Lift Second Edition Alice Gombwer Foundation Peace, Soccer Competition

Gombe United FC Kawo have emerged winners of the second edition of the Alice Gombwer Foundation Peace and Unity Cup final.

They beat hard fighting opponents,  Hayin Banki United in penalty kicks after a goalies draw recorded by both teams at regulation time in the final played at the  Kotoko Barracks Football Pitch, Kaduna on Sunday December 8, 2019.

The won 5-4 via penalties, after Hanyi Banki’s first spot kick player lost his kick which was saved by Gombe United goalkeeper.
It was an unlucky day for Hanyi Banking, who also lost the final of the first edition to Yelwa United last year.
In special prizes, Agboola Samuel of Hanyi Banki emerged Best Goalkeeper.

Hamza Yusuf also of Hanyi Banki emerged Most Valuable Player Back-to-back

Top dignitaries spotted at the epic final were, District Head of Hayin Banki, Mahmud Shehu, Apostle  Mark Bigunson Salman and Reverend Mrs Faith-Jeciliah Salman, Member of Board of Trustees Alice Gombwer Foundation, Abigail Paul, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Nalado.
