Executive Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Council, Hon Cafra Caino has revealed that land has been donated to the National Union Road Transport Workers (NURTW) on which the local government will build a modern motor park.
Speaking to journalists at the sideline during the inauguration of the newly elected branch chairmen of various branches of the union in Kaduna, Hon Cafra said that already efforts are being made to include the project in the next budget in order to commence the project.
While expressing happiness at the peaceful nature of the elections held especially in Kajuru local government, Hon Cafra charged the union to have a scheme that will help people especially the youths to learn how to drive and also provide them vehicles on hire/purchase basis in order to pull them out of poverty.
Speaking earlier, Kaduna state chairman of the union Alhaji Aliyu Tanimu Zaria, said that the union will continue to support the state and federal government in its drive uplift the economy.
He praised the efforts of the state government in the area of infrastructural developments especially the present road construction and renovations going on in the state.
Speaking earlier, Alhaji Suleiman Musa, who represented the National President of the NURTW said the the peaceful nature of the elections held in Kaduna portrayed good unionism.
Alhaji Musa who is the Head of Mass Transit and Heavy Trucks at the union national headquarters called on the newly inaugurated executives to emulate the outgoing ones as they have proved their mettle the governance.
He said that the National President, Prof Tajudeen Baruwa will always stand by all members of the as he had already vowed not to travel by air in the country but use the roads in order to access there nature so that they can make submission to the government on how they can repair them.
He thanked the Kaduna state government and especially the Kaduna north local government for the the wonderful support the union received during there elections.
He charged members to be extra careful in this ember months as well have all the necessary documents in order not to fall foul of the law as he added that their vehicles must be in top shape.
