Alhaji Ahmad Lawan, an aspirant vying for the national secretary   of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has lamented how the alleged  imposition of Architect Waziri Bulama by the national Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is tearing the party apart.

Lawan who made the move to fill the vacant office of the National Secretary of the party said that the APC national working committee (NWC) took a lopsided decision that is causing disharmony among party faithful.

According to information made available to AUTHENTIC News Daily, he called on the attention of the NWC of the party to be wary of taking decisions that is capable of disuniting the party and was the same lack of internal democracy that led to the present comatose state of PDP struggling to survive the consequence because it played out bad against them.

The Adamawa APC bigwig, Lawal holds a divergent opinion that a well structured process of election should be held to fill the vacant office, or wide consultation should be done to bring out a consensus  national Secretary not through anti democratic means.

Lawan faulted the NWC for giving the office on acting capacity to somebody outside them.

According to him, if it were to be given at that level  the assistant secretary should occupy the office since he is a member of NWC, but giving it to someone who is not a member of NWC is resulting to party criminality.

“I’m a candidate vying for this post that I need to be consulted before decision of this magnitude  is taken, all of us in the entire North East whose slot of the office is shared to  are to decide with the NWC who becomes the next party national secretary.

”Moreover, I don’t think Bulama is capable of holding that office hence his imposition is dividing us more in the party than uniting us. His coming is bringing in serious crisis than ever,”  Lawal said.

He enjoined party stakeholders to mediate on the issue otherwise it would plunder the party into a more disastrous 2023 when it will finally become a  wrecked ship.

It would be recalled that the North East Vice Chairman of the party,  Comrade Salihu Mustapha on Wednesday equally accused Adams of endangering the party with uninformed decision on the announcement of Arch Waziri Bulama as the acting Secretary.

He said some of the actions taken by the national chairman are oblivious and unmindful of party internal democracy where consultation and consensus are at the central stage of APC manifesto.
