The Warri South Local Government Council in Delta State, has alerted the public of fake revenue agents issuing demand notices for 2020 to business owners and other residents of Warri.

The Executive of the council stressed that, they are warning those responsible to immediately stop the illegality or be ready to face the wrath of the law.

The council Chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, in a statement released on Friday night, January 17, declared that, ”the council was yet to constitute revenue committees for 2020”.

”Anyone or group of persons issuing demand notices to unsuspecting members of the public should be treated as outlaw.

”Traders and other business owners in Warri South Local Government Area, who have received the demand notices should expose the fake revenue agents.

”This administration will not tolerate any form of criminality in the resolve to provide good governance at the grassroots.

”The good people of Warri South and other members of the public, will be duly communicated as soon as the council constitute revenue committees for this year, 2020”.

It would be recalled that the executive council of Warri South Local Government in December 2019, announced the dissolution of revenue committees for 2019.
