Speaking at the handing over ceremony of a block of five classrooms and six toilets built and refurbished by Nigeria’s top brewer, the Commissioner for Education, Honorable Shehu Makarfi, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Phobe Yayi, stressed that Nigerian Breweries Plc is showcasing its love for education through building and refurbishing of education facilities of Kaduna State Government.
According to her, “education is not meant for government alone, the private sector also has a key role to play and Nigerian Breweries Plc has taken that lead in Kaduna State.
“The Government of Kaduna State under the leadership of Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai will send parents to jail who fail to send their children to school, hence government has criminalised failure to attend school by pupils.”
