Oyo State Governor, Eng. Seyi Makinde on Tuesday turned the first sod at the foundation laying ceremony of Ibadan South West traditional Council Building held at the state capital.
The edifice, described as a Mini Mapo Hall’ will host meetings and other activities of the traditional council.
While delivering the keynote address, Makinde acknowledged the importance of traditional institution in maintaining order and peace in our society.
He also pledged to always accord due respect to traditional rulers, nothing that his administration will collaborate with them, rather than seeing them as competitor.
