Destiny College Kaduna Flags Off Press Club Radio Mentorship Programme

A radio programme aimed at inspiring students to aim for greater heights will be commencing in Kaduna by the Press Club of Destiny College

This was revealed during a press briefing held on Thursday February 13 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium ahead of it’s maiden edition on February 16.

Anchoring the briefing, President of the Press Club, Khadija Shehu Jamo in her address, said that the programme tagged, “The Good and The Great” is aimed at celebrating societal icons and role models and educating listeners.

“We educate listeners on their early childhood educational life Andrew is challenges, educational career, life achievements and most importantly their contribution to humanity and lessons to learn,” she said.

Speaking further, she said that the programme will feature five segments, namely; welcome ride, talking seriously with Aisha, Pick a number, Special Presentations and Happy Birthday Felicitations.

She informed that Yasmin el-Rufai Foundation, Uba Sani Foundation, House of Cake and Havilah Ice Cream.

Proprietor of Destiny College, Mr. Busayo Akintunde in his remarks, said that challenges in life are meant to make people stronger.

He said their February edition will be focusing on Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai.

The briefing was attended by Principal of college, Reverend Kingsley Okoro, other staff of the school, as well as pioneering members of its press club.

The inaugural edition of the programme is billed for airing on Liberty Radio 91.7fm Kaduna on Saturday February 16, 2020 between 4-5pm and would be anchored by Adeshewa Olubusayo Akintunde and Aisha Awal.

Other discussants are; the college’s Head Boy, Mubarak Ali Àliyu, Head Girl, Aisha Yusuf Mainasara, Nojeeb Mohammed and the Press Club President.

Three schools within Kaduna metropolis, Kaduna Capital School, Queen Amina College and Government Girls Secondary School Kaduna, alongside Barewa College Zaria will be making special presentations during the programme.

The first edition would focus on Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai who would be marking his birthday anniversary on February 16.
