The Nigerian Military has reportedly set ablaze Letugbene community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
A source who would not want to be mentioned in print noted that the military invasion was occasioned by a report that some unknown gunmen in the area had attacked a military escort and killed not less than five soldiers within the area.
The source maintained that the military invasion in Letugbege could be termed as a retaliatory move against the action of the unidentified gunmen suspected to be pirates.
When contacted, the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa said he was not aware of the development, but promised to find out and make details available.
