A group under the aegis of ljaw lnterest Advocates (IIA) also known as lzanzan lntellectual Camp, Has called on the international communities to call the Nigeria government to order

The group on monday March 2, 2020 also urged the federal government to put a stop to it’s plans of providing amnesty for the terrorist group Boko Haram.

The National Coordinator, IIA further advised the federal government to put a stop to it’s plans of providing amnesty for the terrorist group, saying that they should be treated as terrorists that they are. Saying that the President Muhammadu Buhari led government has failed to protect Nigerians from all terrorist activities in the country.

The group condemned the purported plans by the federal government to grant amnesty to members of the Boko Haram who are terrorist group.

The lzanzan lntellectual Camp group decried the planed amnesty to recognised terrorist in the world as a failure of the President Muhammadu Buhari government to protect Nigerians from all terrorist activities in the state and the Nation.

The need for providing amnesty to a world renowned terrorist group like the Boko Haram, instead of devising means to tame the terrorists.

In a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Amb Arerebo Yeriene, who alo labelled the thoughts of the presidency as a way of promoting terrorism in the country.

The statement reads; “The entire lieutenants of Izanzan Intellectual Camp sturdily dissent with the presidency over plans to grant presidential amnesty to the terrorist group, Boko Haram. We are calling on international communities to call the Nigeria government to order.

“Granting amnesty to a terrorist group is an act of promoting terrorism and indeed, no responsible government will think of granting amnesty to terrorist group members rather than flushing them out from their camps.

“Will the Presidency deny or claim not to in the know that Boko Haram Members are not fighting for the sustainability of the people and the country other than the destruction of lives and properties of Christians in the north-eastern part of the country, sponsored by desperate politicians from the North?.

“It is s an established fact that Boko Haram militants have created lots of havoc in trying to discontinue the existence of Nigeria as a Christian-Muslim country. Therefore, they don’t deserve presidential pardon, amnesty.

“If we may ask, on what justifiable ground will they be given amnesty? Is it morally and constitutionally right to grant a terrorist group amnesty? Where will the Nigeria government derive resources from to fund the program?.

“We are expressively and emphatically saying that any attempt to grant terrorists pardon is an act of promoting terrorism in Nigeria. Therefore, the Nigeria government may not be able to blame any youth or group of youths that will involve in any unlawful activities in the future.

“As progressive intellectuals from the Niger Delta creeks, we are imploring and advising the President Buhari led government to stop any plan of granting amnesty to Boko Haram members as they are blood suckers with no directional objectives that deserve to be treated as terrorists.”
