IGNITE Experience: 10 Winners Emerge, Get Dollars Cash Prizes



Ten winners have emerged from the IGNITE Experience organised by Vijona Africa for children aged 7 to 17.

Disclosing this to our correspondent, founder of Vijona Africa, Relindis said that the IGNITE Experience was a 3 days workshop for 13 to 17 year old boys and girls in a rural township Akumadan, Ashanti Region, Ghana.

She said that 7 to 17 year olds were invited to IGNITE Experience workshop, to showcase their innate talents and inventions.

“We received approximately 100 submissions and selected the top 10 who received the following prizes
1st – $1,000
2nd – $600
3rd – $500
4th – $200
5th – $200
6th to 10th – $100 each.

“First winner invented a UPS box rechargeable via solar, second winner used local materials to create industrial building paint, while the third winner is a brilliant artist, and many other very innovative submissions,” she disclosed.

Speaking further, she said that they are impressed by the talent and innovation from the rural township of Akumadan.

“There are millions of young Africans out there hungry for platforms to showcase their talent and inventions. Vijona Africa is working hard to come alongside these brilliant minds in practical “teach me how to fish” ways,” she assured.
