By KATO P. LADAN, Kaduna
Concerned People Of Wusasa Zaria have described as untrue a purported quit notice from Kaduna State Government asking family of late Shehu Idris to vacate family home in Tukur-Tukur, a suburb of Zaria, attributing it to a hatchet job by mischief Makers whose motives the Group said were to cause friction between Governor el-Rufai and heirs of Shehu Idris.
Spokesman of the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello expressed sadness over the development, urging parties involved to disregard story of the alleged notice which he said could never have emanated from Government House Kaduna, adding that the property in question was acquired and developed solely by the late Emir using his personal resources.
Alhaji Bello while explaining further origin of the property as a virgin plot of land which he noted was sandwiched by other plots of land purchased by the late emir who he said did not start building on the land until after due process and necessary documentation had been concluded .
“These mischief Makers have embarked on this new wave of conspiracy after their failure to cause succession crisis which has been resolved and new emir selected and affirmed by necessary authorities.
“It is our clarion call to these people who do not mean well for our dear kingdom to desist from such unpatriotic acts and allow the new Emir to concentrate on affairs of leadership and the task he has just been given to dialogue with northern youth with the aim of finding leadership roles for them in order to solve problem of restiveness in our society.
“It is high time We identified these elements in our midst who would do anything no matter how unpalatable it may be to cause friction amongst our people.
“All we need now is unity, peace and collective commitments to achieve an enduring tranquility in our Emirate which can only be achieved by unquestionable loyalty to constituted authorities and patriotism to country, state and Zazzau Emirate in particular.” Bello said.
