The Delta State Government Job and Wealth Creation Bureau is developing a digital job market information portal to careter for the job needs of youths who are graduates in the State.

The Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, Prof. Eric Eboh disclosed this at a two day workshop in Warri.
In an address presented during the Job Readiness Workshop under the Graduates Employment Enhancement Scheme(GEEP), Prof. Eboh said the portal will be customized in a manner that job seeking youths of the State can access job market information collated from prospective employers in the private sector.
“When functional, this landmark digital platform will facilitate the real-time flow and exchange of information between private sector employers and job seeking youths of Delta State.”
Prof. Eboh who was represented by the Coordinator GEEP&Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Wealth Creation, Engr. Chukwuka Osumili said the Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Office held a job readiness workshop under the Graduate Employment Enhancement Scheme, GEEP as part of measures  to improve the employability and market-readiness of graduates fresh from the National Youth Service Corps,NYSC by imparting in them critical skills, tendencies and aptitudes.

According to him,”The job readiness workshops are driven by the need to remedy the inadequate preparedness of fresh graduates for the job market. Hence, the job readiness workshops serves as “finishing school” for fresh graduates.
“The curriculum of the job readiness workshops reflects hands-on skills, competencies and behaviour which predispose fresh graduates to find and obtain employment in the organized private sector.”
