Kano Researcher Bags Nkruma Award For Contribution To Robotic Development

A Kano indigene and Nigerian Researcher, Jamilu Adamu has been awarded Kwame Nkruma Leadership Medal by Africa Institute for Public Administration and London Bridge Business School for his  creation of method and proposed software that could be used in developing robots and artificial intelligence to aid individuals and industries in carrying out their daily and complex activities.


The award ceremony which took place at Leading Edge School Abuja, also saw the GM Human Resources NNPC, Aminu Zaria, Gen. Olufemi (Rtd), Ambassador Stella Agada, Chief Dr. Franklin, Dr. Abba Ibrahim among other personalities bagging honorary doctorate degrees.
Jamilu Adamu, the founder of Jameel’s ANNAF Stochastic and Deterministic Criterion that could be used for selecting Artificial Neutral Network Activation Functions as a support method that create Black box in the artificial network architecture was particularly singled out among the recipients for his strides in taking Nigeria’s intelligence community a step forward in robotic and artificial intelligence alternatives.
Jamilu proposed that; artificial neutral network activation functions shall emanate from AI input datasets, that it can also depend on particular rules of thumb, adding that time change and specific area application were instrumental to his Modern Artificial Neutral Network Architecture.
The veteran Researcher published and presented his research work at International Conference on Emerging Topics in Artificial Intelligence 2020 in California, United States of America.
While receiving the distinguished medal and Doctorate in recognition of his research work at the occasion, Jamilu who work with the National Mathematical Centre, Abuja expressed his delight and appreciation to organizers of the ceremony, reiterating commitments to explore more areas in technology as his contribution   actualize the vision of Minister of Telecommunications, Ali Isa Pantami for the establishment of National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

Jamilu is a fellow of Institute of Management Consultant, a fellow of Institute of Management Specialists, United Kingdom and fellow Institute of  Credit Administration of Nigeria.
