The National Executive Council of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), the apex youth body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has hailed the initiation of Eastern Security Network stating that the insecurity in Nigeria calls for even each family in Igbo land to launch her own security outfit.
Speaking with newsmen in Owerri, Imo state capital on 16th Dec. 2020, the national president of Ohanaeze Youth Council,(OYC) comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka noted that the council has reviewed the security challenges in Nigeria and inability of President Mohammadu Buhari to tackle insecurity raging from Boko haram, Kidnappers, Bandits, and the recent fulani herdsmen killers ravaging the country.
Comrade Igboayaka reacting on Dec.11 unidentified assailants that kidnapped at least over 300 students from a local school in Katsina State. The incident which occurred at the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, in Kankara Local Government, he stressed that it was obvious that the solution to insecurity in Nigeria is above Nigeria Present government capacity to handle.
He described Eastern Security Network as a child of necessity whose time has come, noting that the chronicle death and Massacre of Nigerians since President Mohammadu Buhari took over is quite alarming.
He added that the council has also approved marshal and combatant training to all Igbo teenagers and youths to equip themselves to any attack by herdsmen in various forest.
According to him:”We will start training our teenagers and youths in real combatant and marshal training, this is what the present administration of Nigeria government has offered us having failed in protection of life’s and properties of Nigeria.
” Anyone without a military skill in Nigeria is already a dead person.
The national president, however called on other pro- Biafran groups, Massob, Mobin, EPC, Zonist, Biafran National Council, Lower Niger Congress among others to launch their own security outfit immediately, describing Nigeria as a total failed state beyond repair.
