Kinsman of Kala’a, a community close to the village of the former Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Engr Babachir David Lawal is set to empower over 30,000 people in Adamawa State.
Emmanuel Nachamada Musa, a young international businessman through his foundation, Emnamu Foundation is reaching out to the people of Song, Gombi, Hong, Mubi North, Mubi South, Michika, and Madagali local government areas to ameliorate the excruciating and harsh economy they are passing through.
Comrade Kukuya Godwin Kala’a, former ADC Spokesman who is coordinating the distribution of wrappers, men’s yards, buckets, jerry cans, cooking utensils, grinding machines, sewing machines, and cash for the sake of empowerment said the essence is to liberate people from the clutches of poverty to be self-reliant.
Godwin who is the programme coordinator of the Foundation also said Musa is a young philanthropist who at the last quarter of 2020, targeted eight local government areas of Adamawa for empowerment, to fight poverty to a standstill.
Kukuya who signed a statement, said the recent Doctorate Honorary degree awarded to Mr. Musa is a well-deserved one because of his benevolence act of kindness to humanity and his great heights as an international young businessman.
“The Chairman Emnamu Group, through one of his offshoots, Emnamu Foundation is through its community outreach programme, set to ameliorate the hardship of over thirty thousand (30,000) people across the state.
“The outreach, which started within his hometown, Kala’a with about a thousand beneficiaries, extended to the entire local government area with about three thousand beneficiaries, then Gombi and now beyond.” The statement read.
The statement revealed that on January 5, 2021, the foundation launched its sixth outreach at Lokuwa Ward, Mubi North Local Government Area.
The first phase of the sixth outreach is targeted to benefit thirty thousand beneficiaries across the eight local government areas of Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Hong, Gombi, and Song respectively.
According to him, the foundation in the ongoing outreach programme, will also see to the needs of those with dilapidated houses for repairs and renovation.
