Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing an illustrious son of Gombe and career diplomat, Amb. Adamu Lamuwa Ibrahim as Nigerian Ambassador to Senegal.
This was expressed in a statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House, Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, made available to newsmen on Tuesday January 19, 2020.
Amb Lamuwa who hails from Funakaye Local Government, was until this appointment, the Charge d’Affaires, en titre Embassy of Nigeria in Damascus, Syria.
Governor Yahaya described Adamu Lamuwa as a thorough-bred diplomat and international relations expert who has been a good ambassador of Gombe State in his diplomatic sojourn spanning years and culminating in the zenith of his career.
He congratulated him for being found worthy by Mr. President to serve as Nigeria’s resident representative in the west African country, urging him to continue to bring pride and honour to the Jewel state and keep on with the remarkable trajectory.
Governor Yahaya assured the envoy of the support and solidarity of the Government and good people of Gombe state as he takes on the new task.
