Banshika have emerged champions of the second edition of Engineer Musa Nimrod Youth Sports Federation of NIgeria (YSFON) U-20 Soccer Competition.
They beat Shangui FC by a lone goal in the epic final played at the College of Education (COE) Hong on Thursday.
In the third place match, Gaya FC beat Thibang 2-1 to settle for the bronze.
In a phone interview with our correspondent, National Organising Secretary of YSFON, Malam Abdulrazak Usman described the event as a huge success.
“We are happy that it all ended successfully,” he said.
He commended the sponsor, Engineer Musa Nimrod for bracing up and sacrificing to bring youth together
Malam Usman called on others to emulate same, in ensuring that youth are positively engaged.
“The competition served as a point for uniting youth. It brought together our young ones of diverse ethnic groups and religions, which will furt create bonds of unity,” he stressed.
On the talents discovered, he assured that YSFON will keep tab on them and groom them to become national assets.
