It was a moment of joy at Pastorial Centre, Mile 50, Abakaliki, as SA to Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Governor Dave Umahi, Mr Boniface Nwankwo and former Miss Maria Erugba on Saturday declared their consent before God Almighty and the church, that henceforth, they have become one flesh as instructed by God in the institution of holy matrimony.

God had ordained that man should leave his father and mother, and cleave together with his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. The Divine injunction has really become the signpost for multiplication and filling the earth.

Genesis 2;24,”Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.

Mr Boniface Nwankwo,a reporter from EBBC and a Government House correspondent, who also doubles as Special Assistant to Deacon Francis Nwaze, SA to the governor on Media and Publicity, has fully complied with this divine injuction by taking his heartthrob to the alter as wife.

It was indeed.a very successful wedding ceremony witnessed and attended by dignitories from all walks of life, including the NUJ family, EBBC and Press Unit staff.

The SA on media and publicity to the governor, Deacon Francis Nwaze, who was fully represented on the occasion by Mr Ewa Nworie, Chief Information Officer, Press Unit, Government House, urged the couple to make love their watchword as no marriage ever succeeds without love.

Deacon Nwaze described Mr Boniface Nwankwo as a humble and dedicated staff who has brought honour and dignity to the media profession, and wished the couple a successful marriage.
Speaking one of the guests, a former federal Minister of State for Power and Steel, Chief Goddy Ogbaga (Ezeudo) described marriage as a gift of God.
The former Minister charged the couple to continue living in love and prayed God to bless the new home.
