Kada Kings, Kwara In Epic Battle As National Volleyball Division 1 League Ends Saturday

As the 2021 National Volleyball Division One League ends on Saturday, an epic battle between hosts Kada Kings and Kwara is expected for play at the closing ceremony, scheduled for the indoor sports hall, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
Both top.teams have had good outings so far with Kada Kings of Kaduna State  topping the table with 15 points after beating JUC of Bauchi 3-0.
Kwara United follow with 13 points, but have vowed to beat Kaduna on the last day of the league.
Bauchi also have 13 points and Katsina 9 points.
Others are Spartans of Yola 7 points, Equity Kebbi 3 points while Sokoto and Oyo has zero points.
In the female category, Kwara United beat Zamfara Babes 3-0 to top the table.
In a response after their match against Bauchi, Head Coach of Kada Kings, Jonathan David said he was happy that their dream is coming true.
He said the team came to the competition to qualify for the premiere league and will not allowed their dreams to be shattered.
” Since we started the competition, we have not lost any match and we hope to maintain the tempo by playing finals .
” We are happy that no points have been deducted from us because we face our opponent well without allowing them win any set in the match.

He attributed their success to hardwork, determination, team work and the length at which the use their camp through tactical and technical play of the players during camping.
” We have been in camp for a month with the support of our Chairman which I believe the players listen to us and they are putting in practice and this is the reason for our success.
He said the team next opponents are good but hope to defeat them and maintain his winning tempo.

Speaking with newsmen,  a member of the Control Committee, Martins Melandie  said the competition is tough and highly technical.
” This is the first phase of the competition and the second phase will be played at Bauchi by October to determine the four  teams that will be promoted to the premier league.
” We are playing the competition on home and away matches and this is the home matches. the away will be played in Bauchi. 
He said all the teams are in good shape after a year break due to COVID 19 in 2020.” We didn’t hold the league because of the pandemic and am happy to see all the participating teams doing well.
He commended  the officiating  of the matches adding that it is excellent, with  no problems encountered since the beginning of the competition.
” We are happy with the officiating as no one is complianing and we have no record of any injury.
He described the  State as an interesting venue for the league.
He said the female category will be decided by the League Management Committee on their promotion.
