Brilliant Abuja Police recover stolen vehicle

The Nigeria Police FCT Command recovered a vehicle robbed at gun point from the owner at Phase 3, Zone 4, Abuja on Sunday night.
According to a Police statement, on receiving the information on the robbery, patrol vehicles swung into action and intercepted the suspects.
“In Abuja, on 17th January 2016 at 10PM, armed hoodlums accosted one Paul Jimmy Manan and robbed him of his Peugeot 407 vehicle with Reg. No. AT 378 FGE, colour ash at Phase 3, Zone 4. On receipt of the information, Police patrol teams were mobilized and the robbers were given a hot chase.
“They were intercepted at Giri junction by Gwako Village. The hoodlums abandoned the vehicle and fled into a nearby bush. Area combed but no arrest made,” the statement said.
It added that the vehicle along with one (1) AK-47 rifle with breech No. 03046, two (2) magazines with forty-three (43) rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, an Army mask and one (1) Tecno phone were recovered, noting that investigation in progress.
