Dr. Banigo, in a statement by her Press Secretary Paul Damgbor on Wednesday, while recounting the economic gains of the project, described the road as an important route that links three Local Government Councils and neighbouring Imo State, noting that agricultural produce from Etche, the food basket of Rivers State would be enhanced.
The Deputy Governor lauded Governor Wike for fast tracking the completion date of the road project from one year to six months pointing out that the action would accentuate development of the areas and boost commerce.
Dr. Banigo said the project was one of the campaign promises of Governor Wike-led administration to the people of Etche and Igwuruta community, adding that the present administration feels the plight of the people and is committed to addressing them.
