Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo said the plan by Governor Nyesom Wike to site a clay manufacturing Industry in Egi-land in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area is a visionary step to diversify the economic base of the State, positively engage Youths and check Youth restiveness in the area.
In a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Paul Damgbor on Friday, Dr. Banigo, lauded the effort of the State Governor in initiating projects that would boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the State and provide jobs for the teeming unemployed Youths.
The Deputy Governor noted that the Conception of the Clay factory project will also boost development and enhance Commercial activities not only to Egi land but to the surrounding communities and solicited support of the Local Communities to enable the present administration complete all the proposed projects and bequeath more dividends of democracy to the people.
She urged Youths in the area to be peaceful, shun cultism and criminality as the State Government is committed to the development of all sections of the State.
The Deputy Governor also enjoined the people of Egi land to provide a conducive environment and security for the project to thrive as their people would be the first beneficiaries of the project.
