Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that Rivers mothers should be celebrated daily for their priceless contributions to the state and humanity.
In a message to Rivers Mothers on the 2016 Mothering Sunday, Governor Wike described Rivers mothers as compassionate, unique, and hardworking, a blessing to the state.
According to a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor said that the state is founded on the productivity and contributions of Rivers Mothers. He urged the Mothers to sustain their contributions to the development of the state, despite societal challenges.
Governor Wike said that Rivers Mothers are critical partners in his administration who are strategically placed in the process of creating a new Rivers State.
While congratulating Rivers Mothers on the 2016 Mothering Sunday, the governor urged Mothers to pray for peace, development and the right environment for the development of the state.
