Match Day 17: Kadiri Ikhana resigns, as 3SC suffer big loss in Bauchi

Coach Kadiri Ikhana of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has been reported to have resigned his appointment as coach of the Ibadan side Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) club even as the Oluyole Warriors suffered  the biggest defeat of  the NPFL Match Day 17 fixtures with a 4-0 whitewash by Wikki Tourists of Bauchi on Sunday.
3SC have been struggling with a poor run of form of late an today’s defeat placed them  on the 18 spot on log with 17 point from 17 games a position. This  may be responsible for the resignation of coach Kairi Nkhana pundit averred.
unconfirmed report of  coach Kadiri Ikhana’s resignation broke  shortly after 3SC were handed a humiliating defeat in Bauchi. the 4-0 defeat was  two-goals short of the earlier 6-0 embarrassing humiliation the team suffered in the hand of Kano Pillars.
Table toppers, Enugu Rangers whipped the league’s weeping boys, Ikorodu United by 4-1 in Enugu. Elkanemi Warriors and Heartland of Owerrri were the two clubs that picked  away points so far, with MFM FC are yet to take on Niger Tonadoes in Lagos.
Elkenemi held Plateau United to. 1-1 draw in Jos while Heartland forced Kano Pillars to a goal-less draw in Kano. Earlier on Saturday, Enyimba of Aba defeated FC IfeanyiUbah 2-0 in an oriental derby while the match between Warri Wolves FC and   Sunshine Stars ended 2 – 0 in favour of Warri Wolves.
Other results saw Abia Warriors  1 – 0 Rivers United FC, Akwa United FC  1 – 0 Nasarawa United FC, and Lobi Stars FC  2 – 0 Giwa FC
