The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.
AUTHENTIC News Daily gathered that he was arrested on Tuesday morning and whisked away to Kano State.
Though details of his arrest are still sketchy, it may be for questioning, in respect of campaign funds.
It would be recalled that Yero who was the deputy governor was sworn-in as Kaduna State Governor, in December 2012 when the then elected governor, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa died tragically in an ill fated air disaster in Bayelsa State.
He handed over to incumbent, Governor Nasir el-Rufai, who beat him with a wide margin on May 29, 2015, after suffering the shocking defeat.
